Product Engineering Manager (w/m/d) 100%

We are looking for as soon as possible for a Product Engineering Manager, as additional support for our outstanding Development Leadership Team in Switzerland (remote). In this very interesting role, you will be able to actively shape our product and integrate your ideas and thereby contribute to the success of Luware.

Specifically, for a given feature, your responsibilities will include engaging with stakeholders/POs to gather requirements, documenting the design and undergoing team reviews, implementing the design, generating unit tests for your modifications. Overseeing the deployment of the new feature, and incorporating additional monitoring and metrics as required for the feature. In essence, you will have complete ownership of your feature from its inception to completion. In a leadership capacity within our team, you will play a pivotal role in promoting best practices and providing guidance to junior engineers.

  • Foster and develop talented engineers capable of developing and running scalable, reliable, maintainable services
  • Keep a razor focus on the usage/metrics of the owned services and be super customer focus
  • Lead, coach, and build a diverse, inclusive, high-performing team where all team members can do their best work
  • Help the team plan and execute technical deliverables
  • Work closely with our internal and external partners to support the team’s mission
  • Collaborate closely with teams within Luware to leverage the best technology to advance the team’s mission
  • Bring your curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit, and passion to deliver on the promise of technology in a difficult and exciting vertical
  • Gain a working understanding of Luware as a business and collaborate with mentors and leaders to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users
  • Focus on customer/partner needs through a data driven approach

Your skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, Java or Python OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • 4+ years designing, developing, and operating backend services
  • Ability to communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries
  • Experience in DevOps to maintain live services andor application frameworks
  • Cloud and services experience, with Azure cloud experience highly desirable
  • Analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software design
  • Passion for building highly scalable, highly reliable services
  • Experience with or exposure to Agile and iterative development processes
